The Piano Playing Dilemma
Kids are capable of learning piano well before lessons usually begin.
Research shows that music learning occurs within the same auditory processing system as language learning. The ages between 0-9 years old are the optimal time to learn and is called the “Music Learning Window.” Waiting until children can read and show the correct finger dexterity means we lose out on this window.
At Let’s Play Music, our Milwaukee piano and music lessons for children solve this dilemma by using a custom curriculum to teach students at the best time.

We're serious about music.
Our programs use accessible, enjoyable, and age-appropriate instruction to teach Milwaukee children advanced musical concepts.
But that doesn't mean we can't have fun!
When children in our Milwaukee preschool music classes are engaged in fun activities with their peer groups, learning happens naturally. Our students have fun, laughing, jumping, playing, telling stories, and using their imaginations. This environment encourages participation and our students excel.

Age Appropriate Methods

When music lessons start at a young age concepts such as sight-reading, composition, transposing, and improvisation become intuitive. Our Milwaukee piano and music lessons introduce these foundational concepts in the time and way children learn best.

Ages 0-4
We created a family-style class just for our youngest musicians ages 0-4 and a caregiver. Sound Beginnings builds a strong foundation in solfege, singing, instrument play, ear training, nursery rhymes, and movement. Emotional security and parent bonding get woven into each class to aid in the learning process.

Ages 4-6
In our flagship curriculum, students begin piano instruction and form critical foundational music knowledge. We designed a custom curriculum to maximize the learning potential of each student. They learn skills like ear training, chord theory, solfege, note reading, and classical music.
